Yad Vashem is Israel’s Holocaust Museum and memorial to all the Jewish victims of World War II. The unique presentation and design of this museum houses the largest collection of Holocaust artifacts, 2,500 personal items, documents, and personal video testimonials by Holocaust survivors. On the 44.5 acre memorial are a sculpture garden, Children’s Memorial, Holocaust History Museum, Museum of Holocaust Art, Valley of the Communities and the Hall of Remembrance. The Garden of the Righteous Among Nations honors gentiles who risked their lives to save Jews. Visitors follow a route through the exhibits in a triangular concrete prism-shaped building with a 200 meter long skylight which lets in natural light to the museum.
